According to Sawt al-Iraq news website, the participants also urged promotion of contemplating and conducting research in the field of Quranic miracles.
The conference was held on the weekend with the participation of hundreds of Quran scholars from different Muslim and Arab countries.
The Iraqi Sunnis Awqaf Department organized the scholarly event on Saturday and Sunday with the motto of “Manifestation of the Quran in the Age of Science”.
Quranic miracles in such fields as medicine, cosmology, geology, and humanities were among the topics of discussion.
Mufti of Quds (Jerusalem) Sheikh Akrama Sabri, Al-Azhar representative Sheikh Mohamed Wassam, and senior Quran scholar Zaqlul Najjar were among the participants at the conference.
Also attending was a delegation from Iran sent by the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization.
In the past few decades, there have been many efforts made in different countries to investigate scientific miracles of the Quran and to scientifically study science-related issues mentioned in the Quran.
